FREE Milestone Cards

FREE Milestone Cards Are now available to download and print at home!

Huge thanks to our HBF Run Team for making this possible!  We can’t wait to see the display boards hanging in units and parent lounges of Perth Neonatal Units very soon. This will make it easy for parents to access cards as they need them to celebrate every small achievement of life in NICU.

We just LOVE celebrating right along with our families and welcome you to tag us on your social media if you are sharing images @tinysparkswa #tinysparkswa With 36 different cards available there is one for almost every big achievement!

This is just one of the ways we are supporting Western Australian families living life in the Neonatal Unit.

Hop over to the dedicated Milestone Card page to download your own set today.

4 Years and 1000 Care Packages

Can you believe we have been delivering Care Packages for 4 years now?  It seems to have come around so fast!!  On the 4th anniversary of our very first delivery to King Edward Memorial Hospital (Perth), we delivered our 1,000th Care Package!  Our first delivery consisted of just 10 packs and now we are delivering in excess of 50 packs per month.

It's quite incredible to know that we have raised more than $40,000 specifically for this program over the last 4 years and provided families in neonatal units with goods exceeding $95,000 of retail value!!  WOW!

Each of our Care Packages is sponsored by an individual, family or business and each pack contains a personal note of encouragement or support.

We are very grateful to the Western Suburbs Weekly for attending our 1,000th Care Package Delivery and writing an article which you can read here.

The arrival of a premature baby can be a traumatic time for families. Parents should be able to focus on each other and their new baby without having to think about unfamiliar supplies and logistics that come with being unexpectedly faced with a Neonatal Unit journey. Tiny Sparks WA aims to provide as many of these new parents as possible with a suite of Neonatal Unit essentials to assist them at this difficult time.

Neonatal Unit Care Packages are currently distributed to the following hospitals:

  • King Edward Memorial Hospital;

  • Perth Children’s Hospital;

  • St John of God Subiaco; and

  • Fiona Stanley Hospital

A Neonatal Unit Care Package includes:

  • A freezable cooler bag for transporting of EBM (the most popular item within the existing Care Packages based on the feedback received!).

  • An IV friendly NICU top or dress.

  • Pocket hand sanitiser for keeping germs at bay when out and about.

  • Hand cream to combat dry skin caused by frequent washing and use of hand sanitiser.

  • A reusable water bottle to help maintain hydration.

  • Inkless hand and foot print kit to create a treasured keepsake.

  • A multipurpose wrap for use as an expressing cover, for skin to skin cuddles and for baby when they are big enough.

  • A Tote Bag to help carry all your items to and from hospital.

  • A pen to keep on hand to record special moments.

  • A personal message of support/encouragement from the donor.

Neonatal Unit Care Packages are distributed to parents of babies born under 1500g and/or before 32 weeks gestational age, and other babies with an illness/condition requiring a lengthy stay at PCH.

It was lovely to meet Mum Sophie and heartening to hear that her daughter Scarlett is making progress every day in the neonatal unit.

We are so grateful to everyone who has sponsored a Care Package over the last 4 years.  We hope to support more families in the future by expanding our program to reach more of the 4,000 families whose babies are admitted to the neonatal unit in WA each year.

To send your own message of support and help us in our endeavour to support more families, please donate a care package.  Your donation is tax deductible.
