Tiny Sparks at Telethon 2017

We were excited to be given a unique opportunity to participate in the Peard Real Estate cycle challenge at Telethon this year alongside organisers Matt Fuller, Josh Catalano and Soa Pallelei who were riding for 24 hours, what a super human effort!

Russell donned his Tiny Sparks t-shirt and put in a awesome effort on the spin bike riding from 10pm until midnight.  Visitors to the cycle challenge during this time included The Premier Mark McGowan, Hon Julie Bishop MP, David Koch, Natalie Barr, Samantha Armytage and many, many others.

The atmosphere at the cycle challenge was electric.  The DJ did a wonderful job keeping the music upbeat and the crowd of onlookers entertained.

With Emily Prior 2014 Telethon Star and NICU graduate.

With Matt Fuller chief fitness challenge organiser and 24 hour cyclist.  No, they don't get off their bikes, not even for toilet breaks!

The cycle challenge raised over $150,000 for Telethon helping them to reach an all time record of $36,431,381.  Well done Western Australia, your generosity is truly inspirational!

Making it look easy!

This was our very first time at Telethon and it was fantastic!  We hope to be back in a larger capacity in 2018.

In the zone.

WA you are amazing, smashing last years tally!

Like almost 4,000 other babies born in 2014 Caleb started his life in the neonatal unit, born at just 27 weeks gestation.  He recently celebrated his third birthday by raising a whopping $761.67 for Tiny Sparks WA, what a super effort for someone so young!  Happy Birthday Caleb!  You can check out his Everyday Hero fundraising page here.

We are so grateful to Caleb and his family and friends.  19 care packages are now on their way to neonatal units in Perth with Caleb's personal message.
